This one is huge. There are so many seeds out there, short season, long season, outdoor, indoor, you name it. Some breeders have probably created them or are working on it now. What you need to do is know what is right for you. Do you like to feel more energy? Are you into being more sedated? What kind of flavors do you like? Do you know you can get guaranteed Females?
When deciding on your marijuana, you might need to grow a few different plants to find exactly what works good for you.
With all the available seed companies, finding the one to suit your needs should not be to hard to find.
Not really sure what you are looking for? Maybe we can help you with that, with over 20 years of growing we have grown and tried many different strains.
Starting your marijuana seeds there are a few different ways of doing it.
Here are a few examples:
Take 2 small plates put a damp paper towel on each, place seeds on one side, then place the other damp paper towel over the seeds then place the plate over the other plate, and then put the plates somewhere dark, wait 2 - 4 days for them to pop and then put into a starter cube.
Another way is to fill a glass with water, and drop seeds into the water, and when the seed opens, pull out and put into starter cube.
There are a few more methods, I personally like the paper towel method, but to each their own.
A starter cube is something you put the marijuana seed into after it opens up, there are a few of these to choose from. You can use these also to start your seeds in.
Rockwool :
Rockwool cubes are best used to germinate seeds, and root cuttings, and has the look of insulation, and comes in all different sizes. When using rockwool its best to soak them overnight in a light nutrient, at a low PH of 5.5 -5.6 do to the rockwool having a high PH level of around 8 from the lime they use when manufacturing of the cubes.
Root Riot:
Root riot cubes are used for rooting plants, cuttings, and starting seeds. No need to soak them, they come moist and spongy made from Canadian peat moss.
Rapid Rooter:
Rapid rooter cubes are all natural soilless grow plugs made of composted tree bark, and organic materials. They also come moist and spongy and are fortified with General Hydroponics Micronutrients.
I have tried them all, I personally like the rockwool cubes, but again this is for you to learn which one is right for you.
If you have never been into a grow store this right here will make your brain explode. The amount of nutrients is mind boggling, there are so many out there.
Which one is right for you? You have your base nutrients, then you have your supplements such as Cal_Mag or Nitrogen. Knowing how and what to use can really drive you crazy.
A lot of nutrient companies have a feeding schedule, but what most people don't know is that the company feeding schedule is set for clones not seeds, and it's much higher feeding then what your seedlings can handle, resulting in burning your young marijuana plants, and maybe even killing them. As they say go low and slow.
We can teach you how and what to use, and why you are using it. We can also design a feeding schedule just right for your plants.
When you set up your system, your going to need a feeding schedule. How many times a day and for how long?
This can make a difference in the size of your marijuana plants, and the health of them. Knowing the proper times and for how long, can push your plants to produce to their fullest.
When using Hydroponics knowing all 3 of these will make or break your marijuana crop.
PH, too far off in one direction or the other, can cause your plants to not take up nutrients and stunt them.
PPMs, to succeed in hydroponics and take the guessing out of problems that may occur, knowing how much nutrients that your plants are taking up is vital.
Water Temperature, I know a lot of people will say it's no big deal, well they haven't grown in hydroponics then. Too warm and the water has less oxygen and can start building up nasty bacteria, too cold and you can stunt your plants. Having the perfect water temperature your plants not only get the oxygen they need, but uptake the full amount of nutrients they are looking for.
